There has been one very important change in Italy for the
2024 holiday rental season. That is the adoption & enforcement of CIR
(Regional Identification Code). Each municipality now requires a home owner who
is offering their property for self-catering accommodation in order to generate
rental income, to register for CIR. This is done through the municipality &
the region.

If you do not register for CIR and you continue to operate
in this sector, you are then operating illegally and will be open to receiving
fines.

NOTE

Every municipality has different rulesregulations in order
to register for CIR. Some are fast, some are slow. We advise all clients to
proceed forward as soon as possible.
