🐣 It doesn’t have a fixed date — and that’s on purpose

Unlike Christmas, Easter moves every year. That’s because it’s tied to astronomy, not just a calendar.

👉 Easter is celebrated on:

The first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox

This rule was set way back in 325 AD at the First Council of Nicaea.

🌕 What does that actually mean?
The spring equinox is around March 20–21
Then comes the first full moon after that
Easter is the Sunday right after

So it can fall anywhere between March 22 and April 25

🤯 Bonus twist

Because different Christian traditions use slightly different calendars:

Catholic/Protestant Easter (Western)
Orthodox Easter (Eastern)

…can sometimes land on different dates — even weeks apart!
