In May this year (2016) we bought a flat in Borgonovo, Pizzo.
Ever since I was 17 years old, I have known that I want to spend much time in Italy.

I
have visited many places in this country and I have liked all of them.
Four years ago me and my husband went with good friends to Calabria with
the travel agency Solresor. We stayed near Capo Vaticano and went by
train to other places at the coast. We just fell in love with Pizzo, so
we decided to go there again in May this year.
Then we had already
been in Kista to hear about Italy as well as Spain, since we were there
with friends who had the intention to buy something in Spain. I decided
to be open-minded, since many friends already have flats at the Sunny
Coast in Spain. I noticed, however, that I was only interested in Italy
that is Calabria. At first I had a very romantic picture of living in
the mountains in a very old house, but the girls at the fair in Kista
made me understand that this wasn´t a good idea at all.

Now,
living in Borgonovo, where everything is taken care of, is great! It
wasn´t long before I knew exactly which flat I liked best. It was empty
and it has been a great pleasure to fill it with furniture etc. both in
Italy, and at a distance. I was taken to all kinds of shops to choose
washing machine, lamps, drawers and so on. Birute has been so helpful
and one day Antonella took me around.

Now I order a lot through
IKEA, and it is such a pleasure to open my mail and see new pictures
from the flat; first kitchen, sofa and beds, then wardrobes, lamps
shower cabin etc. everything put together by the clever craftsman
Salvatore.

Buying a flat in Calabria was my idea. My husband
wasn´t too interested at first, but now he is more enthusiastic than
anybody. Our plan is to spend our time at Borgonovo when we have the
possibility to go there, since we both work in Sweden. The rest of the
time we would like to sublet the flat to other people. The great thing
is that this is organized by Windrush Alliance, who also fixes
everything in the gap between the different guests. This is a perfect
alternative for us and now we look forward to coming in December, when
all will be totally settled.
